I have had this air purifier in my kitchen for 4 years now. I chose it because it has a large load of activated-carbon-based sorbent - times more than air purifiers from other manufacturers. The sorbent is what removes smelly unhealthy organic compounds, so I wanted to get an air purifier that had lots of it. I had other air purifiers before, and they had literally only grams of sorbent - nothing that would last beyond a month or two. This one beat all the alternatives, and after having it in my kitchen for four years without having to buy new expensive filters every 3 - 6 months, I am very happy with my choice. I have this air purifier running on the lowest power setting all the time, and it's been 4 years like that without a break! When I cook, I increase the speed so the air is cleaned of all the cooking smells fast. Then I turn it back to the lowest power. The air in my kitchen smells pristine, and the whole apartment has very fresh, clean-smelling air - I have an open kitchen without a door. I recently bought two more air purifiers - the C700 DLX model, which is similar to this one. I put one in my office and one in my workshop. Both spaces were recently repainted, and I wanted to get rid of the paint smell, as well as ensure I have pristine fresh air in my workspaces, just like at home. It worked really great. I had the air purifiers running on the highest speed after both spaces were repainted, and now that they removed all the paint smell, I run them on the lowest setting, which is unnoticeably quiet. Because these units are large and high-performance, they clean a lot of air even on the lowest-power quietest setting. This is a huge advantage compared to cheaper lower-performance air purifiers that are sold everywhere these days. As soon as I enter my office or my workshop where these air purifiers are running, I can immediately tell how clean and fresh the air is, without any smell. I spend long hours in both spaces, and I don't get tired - I'm sure it's thanks to the excellent air quality I was able to create where I work. Most importantly, because I already had one of these run for years nonstop, I know these units will last many years. They are very solid-built. The whole unit is made of metal. And the filters last for years too. I now have three of these, and I highly recommend them.
